Sales

This year we sell 15 high-quality registered yearling Angus bulls. Our 17th Annual Production Sale will held the first Tuesday of April, April 4, 2006, at Lake Region Livestock, on Hwy. 2 east in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Immediately following our bull sale, please remember to stick around for a post-sale social and lunch. This is our favorite part, as this is where we really get to know you and share some of the "war stories" of the past year working with cattle, as well as just visiting with the neighbors.

We will also be selling 10 purebred yearling heifers, as well as ANY uncalved cows and bred heifers. Contact us prior to the sale for an updated list.

What you will get when you purchase a Hillcrest Angus bull is:

  • Semen tested-guaranteed
  • The bulls are crept fed, but not pushed after weaning, thus maintaining structural integrity
  • Developed on a ration that provides a 2.0-3.0 lbs. daily gain to prevent "melting" or the "terrible twos" once they get out on pasture. Many customers have commented on the stayability of our cattle
  • Wide-topped, square rumps that carry down through the quarter
  • Bulls that have a weaning ratio of 90 or better, so you get the "cream of the crop"
  • A program that believes in the fertility of a big scrotal bull
  • Cattle raised by a family that cares about people and cattle, so temperment is VERY important
  • Cattle purchased honestly, with NO "rafter" or "planted" bidders, the sale is not a marathon, so you won't get "run"
  • Affordable, bulls in 2005 Sale ranged from $1,350 to $2,950
