Welcome! Hillcrest Angus consists of three families; Ron and Sandy and their two sons Curt and Terry. Curt and his wife Kaye have three children: Brittany, Brooke, and Bethany. Terry and his wife Yolanda have four children: Breanna, Blaine, Brogan, and Bryce. Besides the cattle, we also raise soybeans, hard red spring wheat, and barley in the northeast corner of North Dakota.
Our present herd started in 1977 with the purchase of three 4-H heifers, but Ron & Sandy had run commercial Angus cows since 1963. Since 1977, we have purchased a few head through select sales, but mostly increased by retaining our heifers, so as a result, our herd is very tightly related. Although our herd is small, we have sold cattle to Oklahoma, Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, as well as our most treasured customers, our neighbors. We presently calve out 50 select cows, keeping fertility and functionality in mind. Another venture that we are involved in is the "grain elevator" that we purchased in the fall of 2005. As well as conditioning wheat, durum and dry peas, we sell some bulk feed and are a dealer for "North Central Feed Products" minerals that are higher in vitamins and other trace minerals that we use in our cattle operation. Give us a call for current prices! Check back for future info on our minerals and feed.
A very important part of our operation is our Backhoe/Dump Truck business. We have been kept very busy in the local area, as well as business as far away as Fargo, N.D. For more info, please proceed to the "Construction" page.
